The Bible Teaches many truths about itself.

1. It claims God as its author

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. – 2 Timothy 3:16

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but

holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

-2 Peter 1:20-21

2. It claims that it is innerant and infallible

The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. . Psalm 19:7-8

Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His word, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar. . Proverbs 30:5-6

3. It claims that it is complete

For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. . Revelation 22:18-19

4. It claims to authoritative

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproff, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. . 2 Timothy 3:16-17

5. It claims to be effective

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. . Isaiah 55:11

6. It claims to be interpretive

He who is of God hears God.s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God. . John 8:47

The Bible offers limitless resources and blessings to the believer.

1. It is the source of truth

Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth . John 17:17

2. It is a source of happiness

But He said,. More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!. . Luke 11:28

3. It is a sourceof spiritual growth

As newborn babies, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious. . 1 Peter 2:2

4. It is the source of power

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. . Hebrews 4:12

5. It is the source of guidance

Your word is a lamp to my feet & a light to my path-Psalm 119:105

6. It is the source of comfort

For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. . Romans 15:4

7. It is the source of perfection

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work . 2 Timothy 3:16

8. It is the source of victory over Satan

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. . Ephesians 6:17

Psalm 39:2-3

I was mute with silence, I held my peace even from good; and my

sorrow was stirred up. My heart was hot within me; while I was musing, the fire burned. Then I spoke with my tongue. . NKJV

I kept quiet, not saying a word, not even about anything good! But my suffering only grew worse, and I was overcome with anxiety. The more I thought, the more troubled I became; I could not keep from asking. . GNB

Psalm 32:3

When I kept silent, my bones grew old through my

groaning all the day long. . NKJV

When I did not confess my sins,

I was worn out from crying all day long. . GNB

Job 18:4

You who tear yourself in anger, Shall the earth be forsaken for you. Or shall the rock be removed from its place. – NKJV

You are only hurting yourself with your anger. Will the earth be deserted because you are angry. Will God move mountains to satisfy you. – GNB

Romans 12:17, 19

Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it written .Vengeance in Mine, I will repay., says the Lord. – NKJV

Never pay back evil for evil. Do things in such a way that

everyone can see you are honest clear through. – TLB

1 Peter 2:23

.. Who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return;

when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed
